LAOTTO — Each year, Kevin and Lisa Crick of rural LaOtto shear their own herd of 12 alpacas, as well as those owned by several other farms. The animals are shorn to collect their fiber, which is spun into high-quality yarn, and to keep them from getting too hot as the weather gets warmer. To learn more about the Cricks' alpacas, visit their blog at cricksalpacafarm.com.
