BUTLER — The first game of the basketball season serves as a measuring stick. After two weeks of practicing against your teammates and maybe a scrimmage against another school, it’s good to see where things stand against a real opponent in a real game. Coaches for the East Noble Knights and Eastside Blazers saw some positives, as well as things to work on when the teams met Saturday at Butler. The Knights won the non-conference meeting 53-42.
