KENDALLVILLE — It wss another year for country music, fried food, fast rides, big trucks, loud tractors and lots of farm animals at the 128th annual Noble County Community Fair. The country music concert continued the Noble County fair’s tradition of bringing in a rising young star who is more than likely destined for bigger and better things. In the past four years, Jake Owen started gaining national attention, starting in 2006 with the release of his debut album, “Startin’ With Me.” The title cut hit the country top 10, leading to Owen’s nomination for Top New Male Vocalist. An out-of-left-field hit with Sugarland and Little Big Town on the tune “Life in a Northern Town,” gave his career more momentum, including Grammy nominations in 2008.
