HAMILTON — Attending small Hamilton High School gave this year’s 46 graduates something special, top students in the class of 2012 said at Sunday’s commencement. “It would be impossible to do justice to all that this town and school have done for us in our short lives … but we must not forget that there is a world out there for us to discover as well,” salutatorian Alexis DeLancey said in her speech in the school’s gymnasium. DeLancey encouraged her classmates to “show everyone what kind of citizen a small community in northeastern Indiana is capable of turning out. We have the capacity to be marvelous individuals our town can be proud of.”
